IT Compliance Officer Required in Dubai - Dubai

The IT Compliance Officer is responsible for overseeing and ensuring that the organization's IT

practices comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. This role involves

developing and implementing policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard the organization's

information assets and technology infrastructure.

Duties And Responsibilities

Policy Development:
Develop, implement, and maintain IT compliance policies and procedures.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure policies align with organizational

objectives.

Regulatory Compliance:
Stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards affecting IT.
Interpret and communicate compliance requirements to the IT team and other

relevant stakeholders.

Risk Assessment:
Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential areas of non-compliance.
Work with IT and security teams to address and mitigate identified risks.
Audit and Monitoring:
Coordinate and participate in internal and external IT audits.
Monitor IT systems and processes to ensure continuous compliance.
Training and Awareness:
Provide training to IT staff and other employees on IT compliance policies and

procedures.

Raise awareness of compliance-related issues throughout the organization.
Incident Response:
Develop and implement incident response plans for IT compliance breaches.
Investigate and report on compliance incidents, including root cause analysis.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to IT compliance.
Prepare and submit reports to management and regulatory bodies as required.
Vendor Management:
Evaluate and ensure compliance of third-party vendors providing IT services.
Establish and monitor compliance requirements for vendor contracts.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in IT compliance, risk management, or a similar role.
In-depth knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Strong understanding of information security principles and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Information Systems Security Professional)

(CISSP), etc.) is a plus.
