Role Description

Our client is looking for a Group Head of IT to lead IT department and ensure that our technology infrastructure supports and enables our business objectives effectively. The Group Head of IT will be responsible for the development, implementation, and management of the company's IT strategy and IT policies including security, disaster recovery, and business continuity, and the management of IT staff. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Abu Dhabi.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop strategy as it pertains to Infrastructure and Business Applications (computer and information systems, security, communication systems, ERP)
• Extensive knowledge of network maintenance, experience managing staff, and advanced industry knowledge to keep us on the cutting edge.
• Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware
• Review and amend IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by upper management
• Coordinating, planning, and leading computer-related activities in the company by determining the technological needs and implementing computer systems to fulfill the information systems requirements.
• Ensure smooth delivery and operation of IT services by monitoring systems performance and lead troubleshooting of hardware and software issues
• Consult senior-level stakeholders across the entire organization to identify business and technology needs and to optimize the use of information technology
• Develop, manage, and track the IT department's annual budget

Qualifications

At least 10 years of experience in IT and managing growing IT teams.
Experience in leading IT infrastructure and security projects, ensuring best practices are followed for system, network, and information security.
Strong understanding of cloud computing, networking, and storage solutions.
Experience in project management and agile development methodologies.
Experience in IT Governance, Enterprise Architecture and Innovation strategies
Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate a vision and strategy for the IT function.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree is preferred.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Travel to GCC required to oversee projects and initiatives.
Fluent in English and Arabic is must.
International credential includes PMP, ITIL, CISM are highly desirable.
