Events Manager Required in Dubai

Taking responsibility for all enquires relating to meetings and events within the hotel and to maximize the revenue opportunities and exceeding guest expectations and to provide administrative support to the Unit.

Description for Internal Candidates

Functional Accountabilities

Liaise with clients to find out their exact event requirements
Meet with clients and coordinate with them regularly
Produce detailed proposals for events (including timelines, venues, suppliers, legal obligations, staffing and budgets)
Liaise with sales and marketing teams to publicise and promote the event
Manage all pre-event planning
Manage a team of staff, giving full briefings
Oversee the dismantling and removal of the event and clear the venue efficiently
Research opportunities for new clients and events
Ensure event is completed smoothly and step up to resolve any problems that might occur
Develop and produce promotional materials and presentations
Oversee the financial management of events
Conduct after events interviews at the conclusion of all events meeting set criteria in order to solicit constructive feedback for the hotel team
Ensure definite bookings are regularly chased to secure accurate numbers and the procurement of all required pre-payments
To maintain knowledge of market, competition and customers
To give full co-operation to any Cast requiring assistance in a prompt caring and helpful manner and to be flexible in assisting around the hotel in response to business and guests needs
To undertake any reasonable tasks and secondary duties as assigned by the Management

Qualifications and experience

Essential:

Ability to handle luxury guest volumes on a daily basis
Should be able to work under pressure in a customer service environment
Must be flexible and ability to work long hours
Creative and positive mind set
Desirable:

2 years minimum experience working in a multicultural / 5 star hotel environment
Multi skilled
Worked in different cultural environment

Qualifications

Essential:

Bachelor Degree in Hospitality Management
Should have over two year experience in similar position
Experience in food and beverage or event field
Speed and accuracy, able to manage last minute activities
Desirable:

Good Computer Skills – MS office particularly Excel and Power point
