Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth and establish strong business relationships for their company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and experience in selling products and services to infrastructure contractors and utilities. This role is crucial in identifying new business opportunities, developing partnerships, and expanding our market presence within the telecom infrastructure and utility sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Generation & Market Expansion:
Identify and develop new business opportunities in the telecom infrastructure and civil contracting sectors.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including infrastructure contractors, utility companies, and other relevant stakeholders.
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and client needs to strategically position the company’s products and services.
Client Relationship Management:
Foster long-term relationships with clients and partners, focusing on delivering tailored solutions for telecom civil contracting projects.
Serve as the main point of contact for new and existing clients, ensuring client satisfaction and maintaining strong communication channels.
Project Bidding & Proposals:
Collaborate with the technical and engineering teams to prepare compelling proposals, bids, and tenders for large-scale telecom infrastructure projects.
Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and delivery schedules in alignment with company goals and client requirements.
Strategic Partnerships:
Identify potential alliances and partnerships with contractors, utilities, and other industry players to drive growth and expand the company’s market reach.
Engage with relevant governmental and regulatory bodies to stay informed of new projects and regulations.
Sales & Revenue Growth:
Develop and execute business development strategies that achieve or exceed sales and revenue targets.
Track and report on business development metrics, including pipeline status, revenue projections, and client acquisition.
Industry Networking & Engagement:
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to enhance visibility and foster new business connections.
Stay updated with industry standards, innovations, and advancements in telecom civil infrastructure and related utilities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent). A Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) is an advantage.
8-10 years of relevant experience in business development, sales, or project management within the telecom, infrastructure, or utility sectors.
In-depth knowledge of telecom civil infrastructure, utility services, and large-scale project management.
Proven track record in sales and business development with a focus on infrastructure contractors and utility sectors.
Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers at various levels.
Ability to manage complex projects, understand technical requirements, and collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify market opportunities and propose solutions.
