To understand and know the Restaurant concept and design details.
To demonstrate pride in working for the Restaurant and a high level of commitment
To greet guests within 30 seconds upon their arrival
To act according to the complaint handling standards and procedures for guest recovery
To acknowledge returning/ regular guests
To report for duty as per schedule, clean, tidy, wearing correct uniform
To guide and motivate the junior waiter to ensure an error free service
To attend departmental communication meetings, trainings sessions and to ensure to operate in line with the instructions received
To be responsible for a clean and tidy working area
To oversee the assigned junior waiters during service and offer assistance when necessary
To minimize operating costs by using all equipment and products in accordance with guidelines set and ensure all equipment are turned off at the end of each shift following closing procedures and check list
To report any maintenance defects and follow-up
Closing: Ensure that the dining area is clean, orderly and well maintained, side stations are well stocked, chairs, tables are well stacked, linen to sent to laundry
To comply with company mandatory requirements for fire, health and safety, licensing and employment and to ensure that members of the team are also aware of these requirements and are working in accordance with the requirements.
Follow the Restaurant sequence of service
Possess 90% or better food knowledge with regular testing
To continually learn and grow with regards to food and beverage service
To address our guests by name whenever possible
Serve food and drink orders
Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems
Arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining area
Deliver checks and collect bill payments
Carry dirty plates, glasses and silverware to kitchen for cleaning
Meet with restaurant staff to review daily specials, changes on the menu and service specifications for reservations (e.g. parties)
Communication
To attend meetings as required
To ensure and maintain good relations with clients and team members
To achieve strong effective selling and to maintain records of all trainings conducted
