Urgent Accountant Required in Dubai -

Our client, a real estate development company in Abu Dhabi is looking to hire an Accountant and reports to the Finance Manager.

Responsibilities

The accountant position will work closely with finance department personnel and Finance manager to handle day-to-day transaction processing. The accountant will also be responsible for Accounts payable/General Ledger and analyzing operators/subsidiaries' accounts.

Areas of Accountabilities: Main Activities

The preparation and booking of accounting entries including payments in the relevant accounting modules (suppliers’ invoices, customers, Employee reimbursement and Travel claims, petty cash, LPO/contract and supporting documents and perform three-way match as assigned by the direct line manager).
Preparation of suppliers, customers and bank reconciliations;
Participate in the fixed assets periodic physical count.
Significant contribution to monthly closing activities in order to meet the set deadline;
Develop/prepare the necessary financial reports as requested by the direct line manager;
Work with internal and external auditors and respond to their requests;
Ensure understanding and compliance with company policies and procedures, IFRS, UAE laws and regulations, and Identification and escalation of exceptions noted to the direct line manager;
Ensure timely and high-quality services to all applicable stakeholders;
Participation in special finance related projects and in process improvement initiatives;
Any other task or duty that is assigned by the direct manager or FD.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or relevant field required.
Real Estate Advisory/Consultancy, Real Estate Developer or Hospitality industry experience is preferred.
Previous GCC experience is a plus.

Minimum Experience

More than 5 years of experience in accounting with experience of bookkeeping and preparation of finance statements.

Technical Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):

Proficient user of Oracle r12 and MS Office particularly Excel;
Excellent organization skills;
Strong analytical skills
