Senior Tax Accountant Required in Dubai

This newly created role will support the Group Tax function with a kay focus on managing the the Group’s tax reporting process and tax compliance obligation. As member of the Group Tax, it requires the ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects, to work under pressure and meet tight reporting deadlines in an environment where tax requirements are continuously evolving.

The Role

Support the Group Tax team in bi-annual tax reporting process, i.e., preparation, review and evaluation of all tax schedules, tax packs and related documents received for the monthly, interim as well as the year-end cycle.
Preparation of all supporting files and back up documentation to support completeness and correctness in all jurisdictions where filing is required.
Assist with implementation of the Group Tax Department's ERP system (Oracle) including testing, monitoring of user access and entities upload by IT and updated to the Companies’ tax profile database
Support global FATCA requirements and provide advise and assistance to Group Treasury and business unit finance teams as and when required.
Assist in the monthly update of the various structure charts as prepared by Group Tax.
Assist with the recurring management fee calculations (information gathering, instructions and assistance in reconciliations) throughout the financial year as part of the annual charge-out process.
Support Group Tax with any other tasks/on-going projects as so assigned, such as updating of global corporate tax rates, implementation of tax legislative changes and the introduction of new global tax reporting requirements

The Person

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA)
Minimum of 5 – 7 years’ experience in tax accounting, preferably as a member of a Big 4 tax compliance team and/or industry at a global multinational)
Solid and proven experience in tax consolidation matters and competence in dealing with tax reporting & compliance related matters
Experience in using Oracle or equivalent web-based tax reporting tool
Excellent communicator with solid analytical and problem-solving skills, good commercial acumen
Fluency in English
