Head Of Operation Required in Dubai

Responsible for managing the operations at the UAE branch and ensure smooth processing of various transactions under controlled environment, following the policies and procedures of the Bank. The Operations Dep. may consist from several operational units including but not limited to: Retail Operations, Branches Operations, Central Operations, Fund Transfer Operations, Loans & Credit Operations, Treasury Operations and Trade Finance Operations. The incumbent is accountable for enhancing processes, maintaining and developing operations’ staff and recommend / follow up on system’s enhancements.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Manage the processing of various transactions smoothly and in timely manner, according to existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Taking responsibility and making decisions within given authorities and following bank’s policies and procedures on different issues related to the Operations Dep.
Responsible for managing Operations projects and ensure implementation with no delays.
Enhance operational processes ensuring the execution in most efficient / effective manner.
Building strong operational team; develop successors for all key positions within Operations and prepare them by providing all necessary training, coaching and support to make them ready to take over whenever needed.
Develop, update and implement respective SOPs regularly and within agreed timelines; communicate changes / updates in procedures to respective team(s) to ensure following the new/updated procedures.
Responsible for establishing relevant objectives and KPI’s for the Operations units / staff.
Identifies opportunities to maximize and optimize operations, efficiency and productivity through improved policy, process and controls.
Effectively communicate with internal / external customers and stakeholders. Prepare cyclical reports (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, etc.) and send to respective stakeholders on timely manner.
Follow up for Operations’ related Audit reports ensuring that there are no fails in any audit point(s). Maintain high quality assurance standards.
Align with Group Operations strategy and adhere to the Group’s requirements and controls.
Assist in developing and implementing the Business Continuity Plan (BCM)
Ensure country regulations and requirements are maintained and reflected in the department SOP.
Assist with the design and implementation of new systems and ensure that current systems are adequately maintained. Keep up to date with relevant technology and make recommendations to management for improvements and efficiencies

Educational Qualifications & Experience

University degree or equivalent. Professional qualification in banking is an advantage.
Minimum of 5 years experience in similar role at reputable financial services organization
Strong knowledge of Banking operations and products (Retail, Wholesale and Islamic).
In depth understanding of the Bank’s products, services, procedures and policies/ and or other applicable knowledge to undertake the role
Good understanding of risk and credit policies
Leadership capabilities and experience in managing teams.
