Senior Manager, Tourism Development Required in Dubai
The Senior Manager, Destination Tourism Development, Western Europe is responsible for driving Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority’s B2B tourism strategy in DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), France and Italy as well as other potential Western European markets.
This senior leadership colleague will be part of a very dynamic tourism board which was named Tourism & Hospitality Company of the Year from Gulf Business Magazine and aims to become a regional leader in sustainable tourism by attracting over 3 million visitors by 2030.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Establishes and maintains productive relationships with key travel industry players and overseas operators mainly in German speaking markets and other parts of Western Europe
Identifies strategic partnership opportunities with overseas tour operators, managing and monitoring activities with selected partners
Manages the day-to-day activities of representative trade agencies with clear KPI setting, benchmarking and detailed market performance reporting
Manages and conducts activities in well planned and timely manner with ROI
Represents RAKTDA within UAE and in overseas travel fairs, exhibitions, road shows and events
Works closely with colleagues in tourism development and marketing communications, hotels and attractions in order to drive tourism development
Provides accurate and updated information on local tourism related facilities to B2B partners
Identifies potential airline (charter and commercial) opportunities to the emirate
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
BA or BS in business management, Marketing or related field is preferred
6 - 8 years of sales and trade marketing experience required. Hospitality or DMC background preferred but is not essential
Preferably proficient in two of the following languages; German, French or Italian
Independently able to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects
Takes a proactive approach to project management, utilizing strategy, planning, and execution skills
Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
