Senior Accountant Required in Dubai

One of our clients is looking for a Senior Accountant to be a part of our growing team. You will be part of a team of professionals working to maintain financial discipline and transparency for our client’s finances.

Providing Finance related Consultancy and Tax advisory services to multiple clients across the UAE, KSA, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Oman will be part of Senior Advisor’s day-to-day work. The ideal candidate shall be well-versed in International Accounting and Audit standards plus local Tax laws & Regulations. Candidate must be able to work with professional expertise in a diverse portfolio of clientele, operating in different industry sectors.

Responsibilities

Provide Ad-hoc and periodic advisory services in accordance with local and international Tax Laws.
Review and interpret related party agreements and transactions. Assist with reporting regulations and policies. Advise on related party tax implications.
Prepare financial statements and maintain accounts on ERP for multiple clients. prepare periodic management reports for decision-making.
Update clients with new tax laws and help to implement them.
Knowledge of the Latest UAE Tax Laws i.e. Country by Country reporting (CbCr), Economic Substance regulations (ESR) etc.
Liaison with KSA clients for Corporate Tax / ZAKAT, VAT, Monthly and Annual Withholding tax returns.
Review or prepare (where required) tax returns for UAE and Bahrain clients.
Liaison with Tax authorities of UAE, KSA, and Bahrain to resolve client’s queries and tax-related matters.
Perform Tax audits and health checks at management’s discretion to ensure compliance with local and international tax frameworks.
Implementation & assessment of new accounting standards and IFRS’s.
Request for data on a periodic basis from regular clients in line with internal planning.
Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines.
Update financial data on accounting systems to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
Supervise team to prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports.
Perform monthly/annual closing of accounts.

Requirements

Minimum 6-8 years of diversified experience in FMCG or Consultancy / advisory Firm.
Qualifications: ACCA Member or Affiliate with minimum 4 years of relevant experience / ICAEW / CPA.
Excellent Knowledge of local Tax laws of UAE, KSA (corporate tax, VAT & WHT) and Bahrain.
Expertise in implementation of International Accounting standards and IFRS’s.
Experience in preparation of trial balances and Financial statements.
Excellent organizing abilities and team management.
Previous experience in consultancy or Advisory services will be preferable.
Quick to think on your feet. Great attention to detail
Excellent analytical and audit skills.
Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
Excellent knowledge of MS Office, Xero, QuickBooks and other ERP’s like SAP, Oracle, Workday or Microsoft Dynamics.
