Who we are.

We are a global group (MNC) with operational locations worldwide and companies that service multiple different verticals within the Shipping/Logistics Industry.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Responsible for accurate accounting of Revenue and cost by Vessel / Voyage / BL and other operational requirement.
Co-ordinating with Operational and commercial stakeholders to ensure the Books of Accounts is in line with the Operational and commercial reporting.
Managing monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting of Financials to the Group consolidation team.
Inter/Intra Company balances review and reconciliations.
Support in preparing the monthly management reports to be distributed with the Business Unit heads/Head of department as per set deadlines.
Updating the Chart of Account and ensuring accounting policies are followed. Booking of Opex Cost, Accruals, Provision, and Depreciation etc. on monthly and yearly Basis.
Reconciliation of Bank, Intercompany, Suppliers, Customer, and all General ledger on a monthly Basis.
Preparing & Filing of VAT returns. Responding to queries initiated by banks and tax authority with respect to compliance and tax matters.
Co-ordinating with Treasury team and Agent offices on working capital requirement matters.
Co-ordinating with External auditors and responding to External Audit queries.
Assisting other members in the Finance team from time to time to ensure the team objectives are met.
Background and experience
Professionally Qualified/Graduated from University
Prior Experience of around 4-5 years in accounting & multi-department co-ordination.
