Senior Accountant Required in Dubai
We are in search of an experienced Accountant for a U.A.E. Subsidiary of a European Company engaged in the supply of refrigeration and air conditioning components in the GCC region.
The profile shall oversee the full accounting function of the subsidiary and shall be reporting to the CFO in Europe and General Manager in the U.A.E.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy with a professional qualification such as CPA and ACCA.
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in the U.A.E. working in a professional accounting environment.
- Independent, proactive and able to work with minimum supervision.
- Communicate well in English either written or spoken.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Familiarity with SAP and experience in the Refrigeration/Airconditiong industry shall be an advantage.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Full scope accounting for customers; from the issuance of invoices and credit notes, recording of collections, aging of receivables, and sending of payment reminders.
- Full scope accounting for suppliers; from checking of supplier invoices, coordinating with suppliers, recording of supplier invoices and timely payment processing.
- Full scope accounting for treasury; including posting of bank movements and credit card charges up to monthly reconciliation with the books of accounts.
- Preparation of expense reports and payroll processing according to company policy.
- Preparing required documents for the bank in case that the customer payment method is Letter of Credit, C.A.D. or similar.
- Preparing and archiving of accounting documents related to the import and export of goods.
- Quarterly closing of books of accounts and financial reporting activities such as reconciliation of inventory, intercompany accounts, recording of accruals, depreciation and amortization, verifying the completeness and accuracy of the books of accounts prior to financial reporting to the CFO.
- Coordination with banks, auditors, consultants and authorities on the accounting, tax, and related compliance matters.
Compensation Package:
Salary AED 9,000 to AED 10,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
