Senior Accountant Required in Dubai
The Senior Accountant will assist Finance and handle all monthly Financial, Statutory and Government reporting, monitor fixed assets and assist with GL Accounting as well as reconciliations.
Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Statutory Reporting
· Prepare manual journal entries
· Ensure intercompany transactions are matching and reconciled
· Assist with external audit, internal audit, and tax audit requirements
· Prepare information and schedules for financial audits
· Prepare VAT returns
Government Reporting
· Prepare quarterly and monthly report for submission to government
· Ensure tax invoices for government are prepared on time
· Interpret and apply terms and conditions as applicable to the finance & accounting function (strong English language skills and ability to understand complicated legal agreements are a must).
Fixed Asset Reporting and Monitoring
· Manage and ensure assets are capitalized on time and are properly booked in appropriate category
· Ensure accurate recording of fixed assets, tagging, controlling, verification and reporting
· Assist with asset related queries from the government
Others
· Act as back‐up to Accounts Executive (AR), Accounts Executive (AP) and Billing Controller based on requirement.
· Prepare bank reconciliations and investigate reconciling items
· Support the reporting manager with the assignments from time to time.
Requirements
Job Requirement / Qualification
· University graduate in Finance/Accounting with completed CA/CPA qualifications.
Experience & Skills
· At least 4 - 6 years' finance & accounting experience with the Big 6 accounting firms combined with listed Multi-National Company experience is preferred.
· Self‐motivated, mature, adaptive to a dynamic business environment and be able to work under pressure
· Good communication skills and proficient in spoken and written English Language
