The Role
We are seeking an outstanding Individuals and Societies (Psychology) teacher to join the Secondary School ASAP. Candidates need to be enthusiastic about teaching their subjects to students in an inclusive school setting. Candidates will need to have experience in teaching DP Psychology (or equivalent) and will also need to be prepared to teach some MYP Individuals and Societies classes. Experience of teaching in an IB school is desirable but not essential. We are looking for someone who is passionate about international education, creative in their thinking, and a student of learning. What do we look for?
Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a PGCE or an equivalent
Secondary school teachers and Primary specialists will also need a degree in the relevant subject area
Experience in teaching the IB programmes would be an advantage
However, a demonstrable alignment with the ethos of the IB and a genuine commitment to international-mindedness would compensate in many ways
Experience in using effective differentiation and assessment techniques is, however, essential.
