To support the day-to-day operations of the HR department and appropriate application of the HR policy and

procedures in the functions of part-time hiring, people services and data management.

Key Responsibilities:

 Prepare and update employee related records ensuring the information available on the system is accurate at

all times.

 Prepare HR administration documents requested by employees such as business cards, issuance of letters,

government and travel documents, leave processing, etc. in line with the HR policy and procedures.

 Guide and support employees and line managers in understanding, adapting and complying with the

University’s related policies and procedures.

 Participate and coordinate in the completion of surveys as rolled out by SUAD.

 Participate and support in all Projects in liaise with government entities.

 Support the Officer-Public Relations on issues relating to visas, security clearances, etc.

 Recruitment and processing of documentation for part timers as per the applied policy and procedure.

 Collect and review the required documents to apply for the CID clearance in order to appoint/part-time.

 Execution of all Part timers terminations and closing their file to ensure the exit process and University’s

property recovery is conducted smoothly.

 Update part-timer records continuously in the HR system

 Process the monthly Part Time payroll primarily and full time as backup accurately by ensuring timely

salary deposits and adjustment entries in the system.

 Duly review and update the control sheets in order not to exceed the given hours limit of Admin and

faculty part timers.

 Identify and provide incoming staff with support in finding accommodation by showing University

offerings and liaising with the Officer – Public Relations in order to assist the employee in setting up home

in the UAE.

 Negotiate rental contracts and ensure all renewals are conducted in due time.

 Whenever necessary, liaise with the landlord on issues relating to the tenancy agreement and any

maintenance issues.

 Follow department policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is

carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

 Prepare departmental reports for own area of work as required in a timely and accurate manner to meet

SUAD and department requirements, policies and standards.

 Provides support to the HR department by performing other related duties or assignments in the absence of

team members or as directed by the Line Manager.

Profile (Minimum Qualifications, Minimum Experience, Job Specific Skills)

Minimum Qualifications:

 Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or a related subject

Minimum Experience:

• 3 years experience within Human Resources, preferably in the Higher Education sector

Job-Specific Skills:

 Interpersonal and Communication skills

 Planning and organizing skills

 Knowledge of HR policy and procedures and the local labour law

 Knowledge of Payroll processes

 Proficient use of all Microsoft Office programs

 Languages: English and Arabic. French is an added value.
