A leading organization has an exciting opportunity for a hands-on Manager of Laundry Operations who will be responsible for managing and overlooking the operations of the Linen Room effectively and efficiently by ensuring that the flow of departments’ operating equipment (uniform apparel and banquet/ house linens) is of good quality/condition and available for use when needed.
Responsibilities:
Will be responsible for directing the operational activities of the unit to maintain and improve service, productivity, quality, creativity, and enhanced guest satisfaction.
Delegate and assign tasks to Linen Room staff and monitor to ensure all operating equipment orders are closed in full and on agreed times.
Manage day-to-day operations, act as the overall coordinator of laundry service activities oversee the delivery of laundry service by the contractor, including bill/invoice verification and routinely assessing the service, and attending/facilitating related meetings.
Routinely audit daily inventory transactions between the unit, client departments, and laundry contractors to sustain the required high accuracy level of the records.
Prepare the unit’s yearly budget and submit it to the department head for review and incorporation into the department’s overall budget.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
Post-Secondary Educational Degree, Diploma, or Certificate (Hospitality/Tourism Industry Certificate is preferable.)
Minimum of 2 plus years of hands-on experience in a similar position in 5*hotel operations
Working knowledge in using, Inventory Application, MS Office, Suite, Outlook & Oracle systems.
Must possess excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills
