IT Procurement Officer Required in Dubai - Dubai

Duties and Responsibilities:

Needs Assessment:

Collaborate with IT department to understand technology needs.
Assess requirements for hardware, software, services, and other IT-related purchases.
Vendor Identification and Evaluation:

Identify potential vendors and suppliers for IT products and services.
Evaluate vendor capabilities, pricing, and performance to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Quotations:

Prepare and distribute RFPs and RFQs for IT-related purchases.
Evaluate vendor responses and make recommendations based on cost, quality, and other factors.
Negotiation and Contract Management:

Negotiate terms and conditions with vendors to achieve favorable agreements.
Draft and manage contracts for IT products and services, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
Cost Management:

Work to secure the best possible prices and terms for IT purchases.
Monitor and control IT procurement budgets.
Vendor Relationship Management:

Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors.
Address and resolve issues with vendors, including performance and contractual matters.
Market Research:

Stay informed about market trends, product innovations, and pricing in the IT procurement space.
Provide recommendations for process improvements based on market intelligence.
Compliance:

Ensure procurement activities comply with organizational policies and relevant regulations.
Collaborate with legal and compliance teams as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in IT procurement or a similar role.
Knowledge of IT products, services, and market trends.
Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations governing procurement.
