They advise on regional and cross-border Mergers & Acquisitions (including Joint Ventures), Capital Raising (through Debt and Equity), Debt Restructuring, Corporate Finance Analysis (Valuation, Capital Structure and other) and other strategic and corporate finance related mandates.
Key responsibilities:
- Overseeing the development of various types of financial models to value debt and equity for mergers, acquisitions, capital raising and restructuring transactions
- Strong technical command of valuation methods and all their intricacies
- The ability to synthesize data and analysis across various transactions (whether developing equity stories for M&A transactions, credit stories, or valuations)
- Ability to fully and independently develop fully functional financial and operating models
- Form independent views and recommendations to be reviewed by the deal ED and/or MD
- Take responsibility for the final preparation and review of materials used across transactions
- Develop relationships with new and existing clients in order to expand the business
- Oversee due diligence, research, analysis, and documentation of live transactions
- Leading execution of both transactions and origination projects (while overseen by ED and/or MD)
- Playing an important role in client relationships and coverage
- Participation in the recruitment, development and training of junior resources Relevant skills, knowledge, and experience
- Minimum of 6 years + (Vice President) in corporate finance, investment banking roles
- MBA or equivalent education, training and work-related experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment with minimal supervision
- Working knowledge of deal structuring and closing principals
- Strong communication and networking skills
- Ability to interpret financial and accounting data and develop fundamental business stories and cases across transactions
- Impeccable research, quantitative and analytical skills, especially in explaining market events
- Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Microsoft Excel
- Very strong financial modelling skills
