About The Role

As R&D Pastry Chef you will be assisting the Executive Chef / Research and development pastry department to ensure that the set food and pastry standards are consistently maintained and improved. You will also exhibit creative baking and decorating talents by personally performing tasks while leading the staff in preparing quality and consistent pastries and desserts for all areas.

In addition to this you will develop daily specials and ensure a variety of menu items offering local specialities, and plan pastry inventory in accordance with the forecasted business levels. Collaborating with the food and beverage management team to continually improve guest and colleague satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget is also required. In this role you will also continuously improve guest and employee satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget. You must ensure that the sanitation and maintenance of equipment, proper rotation of food and usage of merchandise is in accordance to the food safety standards.

Required Skills :

Ultimately, your skill will dictate your career at INDPT . You must have a strong understanding of flavors , textures and presentations . The job also requires you to innovate and Excel to the highest level in terms of Pastry and dessert Developments.

Therefore, you must demonstrate your creativity to the Brand.

About You

The ideal candidate must have Minimum 3-5 years’ experience as Head Pastry chef or currently a Pastry Chef in an International luxury hotel or restaurant. The successful candidate must have culinary certificate and accredited education requirement, comprehensive knowledge of HACCP as well as general health & safety in the workplace.
