An exciting opportunity has opened up for a passionate Head Chef for a new concept restaurant, with an established award-winning hospitality company based in Dubai, currently expanding their portfolio.
The concept features seafood cuisine with Mediterranean, Middle-Eastern and Levantine influence, and is located in a casual harbour setting with sea views.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, in-depth experience and knowledge with seafood and the creative flair to design an exceptional menu.
Responsibilities:
Leading & managing all culinary activities within the central production unit, ensuring compliance with set standards in quality, hygiene, productivity & guest satisfaction.
Taking responsibility for the health and safety of the food team.
Planning food menus and ensuring that the menu is fresh and well presented.
Keeping abreast of culinary trends and incorporating these into the menu.
Developing recipes and determining how best to present dishes.
Ordering food and supplies, such as kitchen equipment, and keeping an updated inventory.
Ensure KPI targets on food cost percentage are achieved & waste management is controlled throughout the product life cycle.
Promote on-the-job training & coaching of all subordinates with a focus on the improvement of relevant culinary skills to enhance customer satisfaction levels.
Qualifications:
Extensive seafood cuisine experience
At least 2 years’ experience working as a head chef.
Knowledge of culinary trends.
A proven ability to create unique and delicious dishes.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
