The Candidate
As F&B Supervisor you will join a committed team, driven with the intent of delivering ‘FIVE-star’ experiences to an international diaspora in the heart of vibrant Dubai and Zurich.
The VIBE at FIVE is all about performing optimally while having the best professional experience of your life. You will be expected to have a passion for your role, disrupt norms all whilst having the best time of your life.
As our ideal candidate, you have proven experience in a highly active environment. Your organizational, communication, and leadership skills are second to none and you enjoy developing guest solutions that break boundaries.
We are looking for a natural self-starter who demonstrates creative and critical thinking abilities, can focus on, and execute, tasks with a sharp eye for detail. An outgoing, people-friendly personality with an ability to think ‘on your feet’ during changing situations is also essential.
You’ll work closely with the management team to develop constantly evolving service goals.
Key Responsibilities
Be passionate about maintaining a service standard that embraces time as the ‘new’ luxury and therefore deliver ‘FIVE-style’ service in a timely manner to the highest level of expectation - all while having fun with the FIVE Vibe!
Support the smooth running the department, where all aspects of the guest’s Food & Beverage service experience are considered ‘FIVE-star’ all the way!
Respond to guest complaints in a timely manner
Work with other F&B managers and keep them informed of all F&B issues as they arise
Organize all documentation for shift work on a daily basis including pre-shift reports, daily training topics, shift floor plan, requisitions for beverage, food and sundries and manage personnel on a daily basis through the time management system
Ensure all staff are meeting all established standards of service through ongoing and recurrent training systems
Monitor and test service skills of staff, retrain and reinforce all standards on food and quality and service details daily. Provide feedback and appraisals, as necessary
Coordinate and monitor all phases of Loss Prevention in operations
Ensure compliance with SOPs
Ensure effective communications between each shift
Ensure optimal level of hospitality are provided to guests
Regularly review house counts, forecast and VIP list while maintaining the confidentiality of the Group and its guests
Ensure compliance with all local liquor laws and health and sanitation regulations
Ensure all staff are meeting all established FIVE standards of service
Monitor and maintain cleanliness of work areas
Assist in the development of marketing initiatives, menu items, and other items to stimulate growth in sales for each outlet and keep abreast of the variety of up-to-the-minute market developments
Be aware of and assist in controlling current budgeted and forecasted revenues, payroll, and all relevant product costs
Must be able to effectively communicate, both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive and service-oriented manner
Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests
Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines
Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly and courteous manner
Maintain regular attendance in compliance with the FIVE Standards, as required by dynamic scheduling
Prepare and submit required reports in a judicious manner

Previous Supervisor experience of 2-3 years is a plus
