BU HR Director Required in Dubai - Dubai

Reporting to the Business Unit (BU) President located in the UAE and having responsibility for 1 talent (regional HRBP for Netherlands, Sweden & Denmark) based in Netherlands.

As a member of the leadership team we encourage the successful candidate to proactively work to improve the business, its growth, and its people processes. The role will be an integral part of the team and actively support the PA/Functional leaders to reach business goals through an engaging and involved demeanor and a strong HR agenda.

Lead, direct, and implement the organization’s human resource strategy so that the organization attracts, handles, develops and retains the employees it needs to achieve current and future strategic objectives. Working on longer term as well as daily tactical items to support the strategy execution and business success.

Responsibilities also include;

Establishing a global HR action plan to contribute to business and financial objectives while meeting personnel cost targets
Providing strategic advisory to business leaders to help them driving growth and profitability
Ensuring policies and procedures and tools are in place for the entire set of HR processes: Talent Acquisition & Development, Compensation & Benefits, Organizational Development, Employer Branding, Employee Engagement
Responsible for definition of global staffing needs, workforce planning and right/downsizing projects
Implementing the Group and the BA/BU HR policies and practices across the globe
Mentoring, coaching and developing a community of HR Professionals across the world
Provide direction, and support to managers and employees to achieve consistent professional standards in respect of all employee issues
Support and give mentorship in recruitment and retention activities
Coordinate and drive talent management for the BU: performance evaluation, training, development, and organisational planning
Coordinate, drive, and support the reward & remuneration process
Employee engagement survey and actions
Communicate, interpret, and coordinate HR policies
Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
HR projects management

About The Ideal Candidate

10+ years of dynamic leadership experience in an international HR role. Ideally University degree in Human Resources Management or Business Administration
Deep and broad understanding of employment law, recruitment and selection, employee relations, employee engagement, talent management, compensation, and benefits
Ability to transform business needs into consistent, efficient HR solutions. Proven leadership skills and ability to engage people and influence decisions at all levels
Strategic problem solver with the ability to tackle operational tasks when needed
Solid verbal and written communication skills in English; Facilitation/coaching skills
Organizational design/development and change management experience
Frequent international travel
