Accounting Manager Required in Dubai

A successful Accounting Manager combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts. The ideal candidate also has experience collaborating in a team environment, feel comfortable managing processes, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. The position will report to the Director of Commercial Operations – MEA and will support the business in all finance aspects. He/She must meet tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation and financial reporting.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform complex technical and administrative functions related to financial processes including but not limited to receiving, verifying and processing invoices, purchase orders; etc.; entering information into computer system; processing and issuing checks; receiving and processing payments; developing and distributing various reports; and updating and maintaining all accounting/financial information, data, files, etc.
Analyze and resolve administrative situations and problems; researches, compiles and summarizes information; set priorities and meets critical deadlines; follows up on assignments with minimal direction.
Compose correspondence and communicate with local distributors, vendors, business owners, constituents, staff, etc., to provide information and troubleshoot problems related to various accounting/financial functions
Post and balance general ledger entries; reconcile and balance various accounts; generate balances and distribute various reports.
Process and assist in year-end functions related to accounting/financial operations; analyze reports; maintain spreadsheets; prepare journal entries.
Set-up, coordinate, and evaluate the financial administration, general conditions budgeting, and certain tax reporting for the project.
Communicate cash position risk issues, including those with respect to unapproved and unfunded change order work in place.
Able to effectively implement all accounting policies and procedures and to assists proactively with cost control requirements.
Manage all phases of Accounts, Payables, Receivables, Expenses, and department Budgets.
Assist with the annual audit process, including preparation of audit schedules.
Responsible for preparing and reviewing annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and operating results.
Identify process improvements and efficiencies which will increase the timeliness and accuracy of accounting and financial information.
Proactively pursue business issues that impact the general ledger and evaluate acceptable solutions.
Able to prepare and submits financial reports to management in a timely manner and also ensuring delivery deadlines.
Bank reconciliations.
Ad hoc reporting.
Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Strong quantitative & qualitative analysis skills, including a comfort working with large data sets.
Demonstrated experience in developing complex financial models, forecasting, reporting and variance analysis.
Strong strategic and problem-solving skills required.
Strong MS Excel and quantitative analysis/ability while working with large data sets.
Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills complemented with the ability to problem solve independently.
Result oriented, hardworking, with excellent communication and presentations skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and handle challenging assignments.
Agile mindset.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

B.S. or B.A. degree preferably in Finance/Accounting or related discipline.
Be fully qualified accountant in CA/ CPA or equivalent is a plus.
Experience in the Gulf pharmaceutical market is a plus.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as Accounting Manager / Accounting Supervisor is required.
Should have excellent communication, analytical, and negotiation skills.
Fluent in English, both oral and written. Arabic is desirable.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Be self-motivated, a strong team player, and be able to work under pressure with good coordination skills.
