Accountant Required in Dubai

The ideal candidate must have proven experience in general accounting, including preparing journal entries, maintaining balance sheet accounts and ledgers, and performing account and bank reconciliations. The candidate will also be required to assist with the monthly, quarterly and yearly closing procedures, preparing various financial reports and supporting the senior accountant in carrying out the responsibilities of the accounting department. Moreover, the candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, accurate and attentive to detail, and has the ability to work under pressure and independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Maintain up to date accounting records
Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts
Perform account and bank reconciliations
Prepare payment schedule based on vendors’ ageing report
Assist with the monthly closings and preparation of financial reports
Assist with the preparation and submission of stakeholders’ financial reports
Assist with the VAT computations and returns
Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts
Assist with the preparation and coordination of the audit process

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
Minimum 5 years experience is a must.
Ability to interpret and analyse financial statements.
Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) is required.
