Accountant Required in Dubai
Our group of companies is in search of a professional Accountant to assist the Chief Accountant and the Finance Manager.
Responsibilities will include, among others:
Assist in maintaining financial records and ensuring that financial transactions are properly recorded
Manage payables and prepare bank reconciliations on a regular basis
Process supplier’s payments, petty cash reimbursement and fund transfers
Reconcile petty cash on hand
Record various entries for payments and other related accounting entries
Prepare month end entries and other related reports
Finalize and prepare trial balance
Provide timely information and liaise with auditors to ensure timely closure of year-end audit related matters
Record daily transactions
Full cycle bookkeeping
Compile data and prepare a variety of reports
Enter data into computer system using defined computer programs
Verify the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records
Prepare special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends
Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting (Professionally qualified candidates would be given preference)
ERP experience and working knowledge required; having worked on implementations, a plus
Advanced Excel user
At least 8 years work experience in a similar role
Previous experience in MNC or large local conglomerate, a Holding Company, and/or a Family Office is a must
Able to work independently without much supervision
Good time management and multitasking ability to ensure meeting of tight reporting deadlines
