Job Description:
As an Accountant, you will assist in managing the financial records, transactions, and reports for the organization. Your primary responsibilities will include supporting senior accountants, maintaining financial data accuracy, performing basic bookkeeping tasks, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the accounting department.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in maintaining financial records by accurately recording day-to-day financial transactions.
2. Prepare and process invoices, bills, accounts payable, vendor management.
3. Reconcile bank statements, card statements, and other financial documents.
4. Support in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
5. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
6. Perform basic bookkeeping tasks, including data entry, journal entries, and ledger maintenance.
7. Aid in the analysis of financial information to identify discrepancies or issues.
8. Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and resolve discrepancies.
9. Support audit processes by providing necessary documentation and information.
10.Stay updated with accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance & ability to work on ad hoc reports as and when requested by management.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
3. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications, especially Excel.
4. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial records.
5. Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with team members.
8. Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
9. Previous 3-5 years of accounting experience is a must.
10. Semi Qualified CA with related Professional certification preferred.
