Accountant Required in Dubai - Dubai
Responsibilities:
Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
Ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations and reporting standards.
Process invoices, expense reports, and other financial documents accurately and efficiently.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations.
Monitor inventory levels and perform regular stock reconciliations.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
Provide support and guidance to other departments regarding financial procedures and policies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience in the retail industry.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
Strong understanding of UAE financial regulations and accounting standards.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Filipino is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with VAT compliance and reporting in the UAE.
Familiarity with retail-specific financial processes and challenges.
