Urgent Accountant Required in Dubai

The role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of general accounting operations, ensuring compliance to all regulations and adherence to budgets. The role will involve managing multiple company entities

Duties and Responsibilities

Review and oversee see all aspects of accounting, budgeting, fixed assets, cash flow, financial reporting and analysis for all company entities
Ensure at all times compliance to all accounting standards and processes are followed
Create budgets and forecasts; provide analysis and project future results
Maintain the general ledger and lead the conversion of budget into general ledger system
Coordinate complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments
Manage and process the payroll for all employees as per company policy
Manage annual audit and tax filing process and monitor government compliance matters
Analyse and present complex financial reports and records
Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payables and receivables
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Perform other related duties as assigned by Management Team

Required qualifications and experience

Bachelor’s degree in accounting
4-6 years of experience as a Financial Controller, Accounting Supervisor or Senior Accountant
Relevant certification (ACCA/CA/Inter CA) will be preferred
In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and procedures (GAAP) / IFRS
Hands-on experience with Xero accounting system preferred
Advanced MS Excel skills
Accuracy and attention to detail
Awareness of business trends
