We’re looking to hire multiple enthusiastic and dynamic individuals for Unit Head Chef Role for multiple Kitchens in our organization. This role needs someone who has an anaytical and solution-driven approach towards food & beverage culinary operations. We are looking towards hiring Unit Head Chefs with hands-on experience with a detailed expsoure in managing holistic kitchen operations and handling multiple cuisines. The ideal candidate will be a swift, composed and critical thinker with a strong hold of the connection between people and technology to drive consistently great processes on the floor. The Unit Head Chef is someone with prior experience in a multi-brand or cloud kitchen setup being an integral part of a similar business. The ideal candidate would come with an eye for detail and a passion for building industry-leading and disruptive plans to be implemented on the kitchen floor.

The Unit Head Chef will be responsible for leading the entire unit from a complete P&L perspective. This will entail not only building the team with the right skill sets but also holding them accountable to constantly aim for better. The Unit Head Chef will oversee the overall operations of their allocated Kitchen. The main responsibilities will be to achieve culinary and operational objectives by driving key values, process and culture across the Unit. The Unit Head Chef will be responsible for building capability within the team, setting kitchen-level goals and ensuring that the stores under their supervision adhere to organization and industry regulations. This role will require strictly following the KPIs set by the organization to drive best-in-class customer experience on food delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
The aim for this role will be to drive initiatives to ensure best in class customer service by assessing and improving operations on a daily basis and taking steps to keep improving.
Happy Platter Kitchens works on a series of KPIs which are aligned with the right customer experience and the Unit Head Chef, through the Kitchen Team will drive these KPIs, conduct necessary monitoring and implement corrections and improvements wherever needed.
The Unit Head Chef will be tasked with ensuring relevant manning for the kitchen along with the HR.
The Unit Head Chef will ensure adherence of the defined operational workflow both from efficiency and food safety perspective for their Kitchen.
The Unit Head Chef will work on the key metrics of Order Turnaround Time, Brand Ratings & Reviews and overall Food Safety & Quality. For this, the Unit Head Chef will be expected to analyze kitchen operations on an everyday basis to draft an action plan for improvement, implement it and do regular follow ups with the team to remain in line with expected and budgeted performance.
The Unit Head Chef will be responsible for driving and motivating the Kitchen team on the ground. The ideal cancdidate will ensure kitchen level staff requirements are updated and constant trainings are underway for constant growth of the team and better operational control at Kitchen level.
Inventory Forecasting and Stock Monitoring will be a critical component of this role and the Unit Head Chef will be expected to lead the stock monitoring for their Kitchen through the store executive.
The Unit Head Chef will be tasked with ensuring the adherence of Company's Food Safety and Quality practices strictly and diligently.
The Unit Head Chef will be responsible for driving the implementation of new product and process implementation by motivating and supporting the kitchen team.
The Unit Head Chef role is a P&L responsibility role and the person will be responsible for Kitchen's operating P&L which would constitute transactions and revenues through overall KPI monitoring, food and packaging purchase, manpower overheads, unit level utilities, administrative and other expenses.
The Unit Head Chef will be responsible for their respective Kitchen, ensuring execution of defined plans for achievement of periodic P&L Targets.
The Unit Head Chef through their Kitchen Team will be responsible for identifying opportunities in operational metrics to increase transactions and topline and reduce costs at unit and cluster levels. On a regular basis, measuring the purchases of food and packaging, stock par levels, optimal utilization of labour, admin costs etc. will remain the key tasks for the Unit Head Chef.
Monitoring and driving strong regular follow-up processes around food costs and wastage and overseeing the variable expenditure of kitchens with a strong plan for optimization will be a critical component of the P&L responsibility of this role.
The Unit Head Chef will also be tasked with ensuring personal & professional development of direct reports and ensuring that the same is being implemented at every level in the Kitchen.
The Unit Head Chef will also be responsible for keeping the team motivated by ensuring proper execution of rewards and recognition programs at Kitchen Level.
Required Experience, Skills & Education Background:
Experience in managing and working on multiple cuisines.
A Hotel Management Diploma/Degree
Experience in working with delivery aggregators in a high-volume kitchen/restaurant operations.
Absolutely convinced and crazy about ensuring that the right great customer experience is achieved day-in, day-out.
Strong analytical skills to assess the opportunities in the kitchens to improve processes or reduce costs.
Should be flexible to travel and be present in the kitchens during various operating hours.
Leadership capabilities to energize and motivate the team on the ground.
8+ Years of Culinary Experience
