Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Vinci. As the Sous Chef, you will work closely with our Executive Chef to manage daily kitchen operations, ensure the highest standards of food quality, and contribute to the development of new and exciting dishes that align with our Italian culinary tradition.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Executive Chef in planning and directing food preparation in the kitchen.
Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring that all food items are prepared to the highest standards.
Supervise and motivate kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
Ensure that all dishes are prepared according to the restaurant's recipes and standards, with a focus on consistency and quality.
Assist in the development of new menu items and seasonal specials, bringing creativity and innovation to our offerings.
Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and safety in the kitchen, adhering to all relevant regulations.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in the ordering and purchasing of food supplies.
Assist with scheduling, training, and managing kitchen staff to ensure efficient operation during service hours.
Handle any kitchen-related issues, such as equipment malfunctions or staff concerns, in a timely and professional manner.
Ensure that all kitchen operations run smoothly during the Executive Chef's absence.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a high-end ITALIAN restaurant, preferably with a focus on Italian cuisine.
Strong culinary skills and a deep passion for Italian cooking.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and manage a team.
In-depth knowledge of kitchen operations, including food safety standards and inventory management.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high attention to detail.
Creativity and a passion for developing new dishes and improving existing ones.
Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
