Roles & Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and development, ensuring that all meals are nutritious and cater to dietary restrictions and preferences.
Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring that all food preparation and cooking processes meet health and safety standards.
Oversee the ordering and inventory management of food and kitchen supplies, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and of high quality.
Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring that all appliances are clean and in good working condition.
Assist in the creation of new recipes and dishes, experimenting with different flavors and ingredients.
Ensure that all food is prepared and presented in an aesthetically pleasing manner.
Collaborate with other departments to coordinate meal service times and ensure that all meals are delivered on time.
Assist in the management of kitchen budgets and financials, ensuring that all expenses are recorded and accounted for.
Stay updated on industry trends and new cooking techniques, incorporating them into the menu and kitchen operations.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, following sanitation and hygiene standards.
