Job Summary:
As a Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in the culinary team, assisting in food preparation, collaborating on menu development, and supervising kitchen staff. Your creative contributions and leadership skills will contribute to the delivery of exceptional dining experiences, ensuring dishes meet high presentation standards.
Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing dishes, including chopping, marinating, and cooking, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards.
Collaborate with the head chef to create and refine menu items.
Contribute to menu development and seasonal specials.
Supervise kitchen staff and delegate tasks as necessary.
Train and mentor kitchen staff to improve culinary skills and efficiency.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to food safety standards.
Monitor ingredient and dish quality throughout the cooking process.
Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering and stocking supplies.
Minimize food waste through effective inventory control.
Taste and adjust seasonings and flavors as needed to meet quality standards.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Support the team in delivering exceptional dining experiences to customers.
Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
Maintain kitchen equipment and report any maintenance needs.
Assist in ensuring that dishes are served promptly and meet presentation standards.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role in a restaurant or culinary establishment.
Strong culinary skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques.

Effective communication and teamwork skills.
