Senior Funds Accountant Required in Dubai
This position is open only for UAE Nationals.
The purpose of the role is to provide active support, advice, and best practices to the investment teams in relation to accounting, audit and financial reporting matters.
Fund accounting support in relation to alternative investments, VC and M&A activities initiated
by the company
Booking journal entries in relation to alternative investments, VC and M&A activities initiated by
the company and reconciling balances with bank accounts
Monthly & quarterly timely closing of accounts
Ensure monthly integrations & reconciliation of balances between Oracle, treasury and any
other systems
Preparation of SPV’s quarterly & year‐end financial statements
Filling & Reporting of alternative investments, VC and M&A SPV’s ESR and comply with ADGM
requirements
Solving complex and technical accounting problems arising in alternative investments, VC and
M&A
Financial integration of the new investees added to the company's portfolio
Quality assurance over the statutory financial statements of the portfolio/Alts investments and
M&A companies
Periodic check in with auditor’s and adhering to all requirements
Ensuring all auditor maters resolved prior to any audit committee meeting
Qualification & skills required
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CFA, CPA, CA, ACCA)
MBA/ additional qualifications is desirable
A minimum of 7 years of financial accounting experience in a relevant organization (must be from investment company, investment banking or investment advisory teams)
Experience in UAE/ MENA markets highly recommended
