Senior Accountant Required in Dubai

In this role you will be in-charge of all accounting activities of both financial and management accounting. You are responsible for preparing financial and performance reports, assisting departments with annual budgets and reviews, internal control and tax studies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Handle and monitor full spectrum of financial and cost accounting role e.g. Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, General Ledger, forecasting, budgeting etc.
Responsible for day-to-day finance and accounts operations.
Perform full set of accounts and ensure timely closing of accounts on monthly, Quarterly and Annual Basis.
Review & approve payment vouchers & journal entries.
Adhere to and maintain internal control and effective accounting system and policies for the set up.
Consultative with the respective departments on cost reduction initiatives.
Ensure proper compliance of taxation matters as applicable and reporting of it on monthly/quarterly and yearly basis as per the local regulations.
Assist and help assistant accountants to perform their duty in time and as per accounting standards and accounting policies of the organization.
Ensure timely (Weekly and Monthly) reconciliation of bank accounts.
Manage General ledger operations and ensure proper Reconciliation of control accounts.
Manage Fixed Asset Register and ensure proper accounting for Assets.
Prepare all the closing monthly journal entries.
Finalize Trial Balance on Monthly basis with relevant schedules and details.
Assist Finance head to finalize MIS report every month.
Assisting finance head for preparation and Annual Budget for the given entity.
Assisting with audits, fact checks, and resolving discrepancies.
Perform any other duty relates to Accounts & Finance as assigned by Head Of Finance & Accounts and the management.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance, Masters and / additional qualifications is a plus.

· Min 5 years relevant experience in financial & management accounting particularly in FMCG or Manufacturing .

· Ability to interact with all levels.

· Good MS Office skills particularly strong capabilities in MS Excel.

· Able to work independently and highly meticulous.

Working experience in an ERP environment is highly regarded.

· Domain expert knowledge and relevant experience of financial accounting, business analysis,

Business planning, forecasting, costing, treasury and taxation.

· Ability to add value to cross functional BU/Corporate endeavors.

· Highly analytical, commercially oriented with good grasp of numbers.

Effective communication and presentation skills.
