Senior Accountant Required in Dubai
Role:
The Senior Accountant plays a key role in ILG EMEA's finance team. The role is to prepare, develop and analyse financial information to facilitate management’s decision making. The position will provide high quality support by liaising with other departments on all finance matters, budgetary management and control. ability to meet its goals and, ultimately, achieve its mission. This position reports to the Assistant Finance Manger.
Responsibilities:
Recording of stock related purchase invoices based on POs and GRN booked by warehouse
Posting of Sales invoices on timely basis
Co-ordinate with product/ brand team and suppliers for settlement of supplier’s balances
Maintain schedule of advances paid to suppliers based on suppliers’ terms and brand team requests
Co-ordinate with Marketing team and Brand managers for customer’s marketing contribution and issuing credit notes for marketing contribution after the year end
Making payments to supplier’s as per their payment terms in bank portal and get it approved as per DoA
Reconciliation of Inter-company and third-party supplier balances on monthly basis
Preparing Royalty Reports for various Brands on monthly basis
Preparation of MIS within prescribed deadlines set by management/ Group finance
Preparation of cash forecast based on the future cash inflows and outflows
Execute all monthly/ quarterly/ yearly closing entries process
Preparation of audit schedules for the year end audits for Swiss and German companies
Recording IFRS 16 (Leases) related entries on monthly basis
Assist in preparation of financial budgets at the year end
Handling accounting issues and conduct special projects as assigned
Maintain and reconcile fixed asset register and calculate monthly depreciation
Qualifications & Skills:
Masters degree in Accounting or equivalent. CA inter would be given preference.
3-4 years of experience in a similar role.
Proficiency in excel and handson knowledge of an ERP. Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics-BC 365 would be an added advantage
Good oral communication skills and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent analytical, detail-oriented and numerical skills
