A Senior Accountant job is the perfect role for someone who is commercially aware and enjoys a challenge on a day-to-day basis. As we are expanding in KSA and Kuwait markets, we are looking for the best of the bests to represent Wimo and develop and grow the business, secure key accounts, meet the targeted business volume and revenue while building a respectful relationship with the customers.
As a Senior Accountant, you are expected to:
Have substantial exposure to monthly closing processes, forecasting and budgeting, and customer billing. They will be organized and approach each issue with an analytical mindset.
COD reconciliation and understand weekly COD payouts
Understand B2C, B2B, Line-haul, Cross border shipping business
Ensure business transactions are reported in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
Work closely with team members to assist with the month-end close
Assist with the annual audit process including the draft of the financial statements and related notes
Research and analyze expense variances for company management
Qualifications
3+ years' of professional accounting experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience
CPA preferred
What should you come with?
5+ years of previous accounting experience within the international and/or domestic e-commerce and logistics industry
Knowledge of commercial and operational aspects such as last mile, fulfillment, 3PL, line haul, customs, B2B, B2C and Freight
Excellent oral and written communication skills (English is a must, Arabic is a plus)
Ability to make valued commercial decisions & judgments in a timely manner.
Team leadership as well as planning & management skills
Customer-Centric Mindset
Experience with industry-standard software (CRM) and Microsoft Office Suite.
UAE registered vehicle with a valid driving license
