Senior Accountant Required in Dubai - Dubai

Our client is a prominent agricultural multinational corporation known for being one of the world's largest producers of fruit and vegetables.

Key Responsibilities:

Controller Focus:

Oversee financial controls and ensure compliance with regulations.
Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Closing:

Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
Prepare and review financial statements for accuracy and completeness.
Accounts Payable:

Supervise accounts payable activities and ensure timely payments.
Reconcile vendor statements and manage vendor relationships.
Sales:

Monitor sales transactions and ensure accurate recording.
Coordinate with the sales team to resolve discrepancies.
Inventory:

Maintain and reconcile inventory records.
Conduct periodic physical inventory counts and investigate variances.
Taxation:

Handle tax compliance, filings, and reporting.
Stay updated on tax regulations and ensure adherence.
Costing and Budgeting:

Develop and manage budgets.
Perform cost analysis and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures.
3rd Party Assets:

Manage third-party assets and related accounting activities.
Ensure proper documentation and reporting of third-party transactions.
SAP S/4HANA:

Utilize SAP S/4HANA for financial reporting and data management.
Optimize the use of SAP for enhanced financial processes.

Additional Requirements:

Proactive Approach: The ideal candidate will be proactive and take initiative in managing accounting tasks.
Regional Shipments: Experience in managing accounting processes related to regional shipments is essential.
Bilingual: Must be fluent in both Arabic and English.
Industry Experience: Must have experience in the fresh produce sector.
Accounting Qualification: A recognized accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is required.
SAP S/4HANA: Proficiency in using SAP S/4HANA for financial management is essential.
Regional Exposure: Demonstrated experience in handling accounting functions across multiple regions, especially within the GCC.
