Role Overview: As the Senior Account Manager, Cargo Charter Broker, you will be responsible for managing the cargo charter operations in the UAE region. You will lead a team of cargo brokers and ensure that the department achieves its sales targets while maintaining exceptional service levels. This is a challenging role that requires a passion for the logistics industry, strategic thinking, and exceptional communication and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Exceptional Account Management: Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, understand their unique cargo requirements, and provide customized solutions that exceed their expectations. You will work closely with our clients to understand their business needs and provide exceptional service levels that ensure their continued satisfaction with our services.
Driving Sales Targets and Reporting: Develop and implement innovative sales strategies that result in achieving targets, monitor sales performance, and provide insightful reporting to management. You will be responsible for driving sales growth for the cargo charter department and ensuring that the team achieves its targets. You will also provide regular reports to management on sales performance and market trends, using data-driven insights to inform future business decisions.
Leading and Empowering the Team: Foster a high-performance culture, lead and inspire the cargo brokerage team, set performance goals, provide tailored training and support, and recognize and reward success. As the team leader, you will be responsible for empowering your team members, providing regular feedback, and ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in their roles, resulting in a motivated and high-performing team.
Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and execute the cargo charter business plan, identify and capitalize on potential growth opportunities in the market, and implement plans that achieve business objectives. You will be responsible for developing the department's strategy, identifying new market opportunities, and executing plans that achieve our business objectives, resulting in sustainable growth and success.
Driving Market Intelligence and Competitor Analysis: Keep up-to-date with industry trends, analyze competitor activities, and identify opportunities to enhance the company's position in the market. You will be responsible for staying abreast of the latest market trends and competitor activities, identifying opportunities for growth, and driving the company's position in the market through a deep understanding of market dynamics.
Developing Strong Supplier Relationships: Manage relationships with cargo operators and suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure that clients receive the best pricing and service levels. You will work closely with cargo operators and suppliers to negotiate contracts and ensure that we are providing our clients with the best pricing and service levels in the market, resulting in enhanced client satisfaction and loyalty.
Qualification &Key;Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or related fields.
Minimum 7 years of experience in cargo charter brokerage.
Proven track record in achieving sales targets and managing a team.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of cargo charter operations and the freight forwarding industry.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
