About the role
• The QS plans, organizes, and directs work for department engaged in exhibition with respect to cost estimation by performing the following duties:
• Preparations of Bill of Quantities (Pre Show).
• Standardizing the Bill of Quantities (Pre Show) and costing procedures.
• Providing Sales/Production with accurate costing within the deadline.
• Providing value engineered option with the alternate materials and method of construction as an option to the client.
• Providing technical support to Sales team to ensure that details are properly conveyed to client and if required attend client meetings.
• QS Should go for Site visit (If required) before presenting costs to clients.
• Maintaining the cost database to enable estimating to be more of a science than relying on person’s experience.
• Keep a record of standard pricing with regular updates based on the market rates.
• Reviewing of invoice of subcontractors and maintain the record/Log book before forwarding to accounts for payment.
• Identify new subcontractors and suppliers to effect cost reductions without affecting the quality.
• Ensure that existing subcontractors and suppliers comply with our quality standards.
• Regular site visits once the job is confirmed to ensure recording of VO’s and to check quality of work of appointed subcontractors.
• Inform the subcontractor allocation to the respective coordinator to monitor the work progress.
• Keeps records, and sketches to describe and certify work performed.
• Perform the site survey during the build-up to validate the lost jobs costing and method of construction and submit the report to HOD for review with ED
Requirements
We are looking for an Experienced QS with: *Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering *Must have a minimum of 2 years relevant experience as a QS *Must have at least 2 years experience of Interiors
