About the role

Plans and manages trade show, press, customer, and sales events by performing the following responsibilities:
• Responsible for creation of the department’s events calendar
• Participates and contributes at project brainstorming sessions with the team
• Gather on time & update official quotes internally or externally & forward the proposals as per sales team/ client satisfaction for the acceptance
• Provide relevant information and guidance for the design team to obtain accurate event specifications
• Negotiates contracts and maintains relationships with preferred vendors
• Effectively communicate information through written correspondence & oral communication by maintaining an email record of all important decisions made Clients / Sub contractors / Vendors / Artistes etc.
• Direct, coordinate and supervise the onsite activities of personnel, subcontractors / vendors / Artists, as required to successfully execute the assigned events
• Conduct pre and post convention meetings with clients and Sub contractors / Vendors / Artist / staff. Sets up event production meeting and organizes materials, reviews transportation itineraries, books venues and services etc.
• Supervise, monitor and control event billing per client contracts; develop and maintain effective relationships with service contractors and other suppliers of event services
• Develops, prioritizes, and implements tactical events project plans, including customer promotion programs, commercial / corporate events, trade show activities, and sales meetings
• Acts as a liaison for the client to insure successful execution of Event and see that their needs are met
• Gradually update the clients about the status of project respected to the finalization of individual phases to prove the company professionalism & dedication to understand client’s requirements
• Provides project status updates
• Maintains a database of vendors as well as sample pieces for project references


Location, salary and package

The position is located in Dubai and pays AED12-13k + private medical insurance + annual return flight to home location.
Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in either Architecture or Interior Design
• 2-3 years experience in a similar role within either an events, interiors or architectural company (or similar)
• Solid experience of managing Interiors or Exhibitions fit-outs or stand design
• Well organized with an eye and attention for details
• Confidence; to take an event from concept to finalization
• Ability to coordinate the various tasks of the event
• Good problem solving skills
• Possess interpersonal skills, effective communication skills and a positive diplomatic attitude in dealing with people
• Ability to cope with competing demands and to prioritize tasks
• Time management skills
• Able to work under pressure
• Teamwork skills and project management skills, as well as the ability to work alone
