Plaster Technician Required in Dubai - Dubai

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:
Receives patient, prepares of plaster & patient, application/removal of different casts etc.
Checks record, X-rays & diagnosis etc according to the A/E doctor/trumatologist advise.
Recognizes right and suitable request for plaster application.
Participates and assists of different kind of reduction(s)/manipulation(s) of bone fracture(s).
Understands the reason & knowledge for providing services advised by doctor.
Application of different kind of plasters, slabs, aluminum splints, tub grips, bandages, strapping etc as advised/suggested by doctor in A/E, Trauma clinic, Wards etc in RH Dubai.
Anticipates and prevention of complications occurring from tight plasters etc.
Educates customer/patient(s) or his/ her significant other(s).
Provides service(s) at Palace(s) or Sport events, outside DOHMS.
Supports senior technician/manager in the teaching of less experienced.
Staff and other allied healthcare professionals in casting.

Qualifications

Mi nimum Qualifications:
Higher secondry school certificate/graduation or above
Plaster certificate / or six months work experience under supervision of Ortho/Trauma Doctor in Theater/Ward/Emergency Dept etc or relavent qualification
Knowledge skills and abilities:
knowledge in palster techniques and skilled in his/her profession and able to work or perform his/her duties independently.
Demonstrates evidence of ongoing continuous professional development.
Training:
Traning in Plaster techniques.
Attend mandatory training of fire, health and safety, infection control etc .
