Dreamplace is an experiential and play-based learning center for 5-13 y.o. children where freedom of choice is at the heart of our philosophy. We design interdisciplinary activities and projects to inspire children's discovery of the world, spark their imagination, and explore their own interests. We strive for a truly child-led atmosphere where kids are the creators of their own spacetime.
You have to love spending time with kids, provide them with assistance in their exploring and understanding of the world, suggest relevant activities, create long-term and short-term projects, actively participate in designing our own play-based activities, conduct experiments, while ensuring safety for the kids and friendly atmosphere.
Role Description
2 part-time positions are opening at Dreamplace located in Dubai Knowledge Park. The roles involve interacting and engaging children in the relevant field (Music or Art), discussing the history, cross-cultural matters, theory and experimenting with instruments, tools, materials, taking creativity to the next level. The center will be open from 10AM serving the homeschooling community, as well as providing after-school activities in the afternoon.
Qualifications
Strong background in music and/or art education (painting, clay, papier-mache, etc)
Previous experience of working with children is mandatory
Has to be outgoing, inspiring, energetic, creative, and open person ready to explore and create projects with kids
Bachelor's degree in Music, Fine Arts, Education, or related field
S/he has to quickly adapt to a child-led non-directive environment and communication
Fluent in English
Passionate about innovation in education; experiential, project-based, and play-based learning
Be able to independently work and create activity/project planning
