MEP Engineer
Job Responsibilities
o Prepare full MEP drawings based on the project layout, specification and BOQ based on the project needs
o Supervise and manage the facility & maintenance team ensuring the tasks assigned for all operations and maintenance activities are carried out in an efficient manner
o Oversee facility modifications, including obtaining estimates on equipment, labor, materials and other related costs and requirements
o Review, investigate and estimate work requests for new construction, alteration or variations to the projects.
o Define MEP requirements and spaces, co-ordinate with the Interior Designer, prepare detailed calculations, co-ordinate with the available site provisions (in shell and core) and prepare detailed design suitable for tendering and execution (tendering and execution by others).
o Conduct on-site inspections of on-going construction projects for compliance with department’s requirements by liaising with the various consultants and contractors as applicable.
o Analyze/review products and materials recommended by consultants and third party vendors as to their quality and practicality for the company and recommend selection as appropriate.
o Provide technical support to Facilities contracts section and P&L department in vendor, material pre-qualification process and tender review.
Qualifications & Experience
o Engineering Degree (Mechanical / Electrical )
o 5-10 Years UAE Experience with MEP contracting company.
Ability/Skills/Requirements
o Proven ability to work independently
o Should have strong communication skills in written and spoken English.
o Having knowledge of AutoCAD.
o Should be familiar with MS office applications.
o Valid UAE Driving license
o DEWA certificate added advantage
