Medical Manager Required in Dubai
Our client is currently hiring for a Medical Manager responsible for effectively managing the day-to-day operations of the Claims unit including PAR (Pre-Authorisation Request) and network operations.
Key Activities:
Financial
Assist the Head of Department (CMO) in development and implementation of the annual business plan and budget for the Health department
Manage the claim expenditures within the allocated budget
Evaluate pending and reconciled claims statements
Customer Centricity
Handle any customer issues / internal problems that require immediate attention
Ensure adherence to timelines for closure of claim requests
Manage interaction with other entities including clients, payers, intermediaries, and Health Care Providers (HCPs)
Escalate customer issues and concerns where the timely resolution is not being achieved in light of the laid-out policy and turnaround time
Internal Process
Ensure adherence to unit KPIs and internal and external SLAs
Ensure consistency in implementation of medical claims processes and guidelines
Gather, prepare and present monthly management reports on claims, PAR, operating costs, claim exposures and loss ratio.
Maintain quality focus by proactive contribution to the QMS improvement cycle
Ensure implementation and maintenance of relevant management information systems, quality controls and DTPs
Ensure awareness of Quality Policy and Quality Strategic Objectives
Liaise and interface with other verticals in the department to update on business
Learning and Development
Support team development through periodic review, mentoring, counselling, and feedback.
Monitor performance of reporting managers and assist in goal setting, budgeting and management
Perform personnel management duties including performance appraisals, training and support recruitment
Develop and maintain strong awareness of local regional markets and the regulatory environment and share relevant updates with the team
Provide guidance to team members on day-to-day activities
Requirements:
MBBS degree is essential
Insurance qualification an added advantage
6 to 8 years total experience including 4 years in a supervisory capacity managing claims in the insurance sector.
Proven ability in claims processing, organizing workload under pressure and in leading teams.
Expert knowledge of the Insurance industry and corresponding regulatory environment.
Superior oral and written communication and presentation skills.
Self-starter with distinct attention to detail and flexibility to handle diverse tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills, leadership skills, tact and good judgment and the ability to interact with clients and employees at all levels.
Strong analytical and organizational skills, decision-making capabilities, deadline oriented.
Basic knowledge of Arabic is preferred
