Medical Laboratory Scientist Required in Dubai

Responsibilities
Performing all duties and responsibilities in compliance with the current standard operating procedures (SOP), American Association of Blood Bank (AABB), FDA Code of Federal Regulations (21 CFR) and other applicable Federal and Local laws.
Performing processing of cord blood, cord tissue, cord vessel, amnion tissue and placenta and associated activities according to laboratory SOPs.
Performing testing to assess product content and safety, including nucleated cell counts, sterility testing, immunotyping to determine CD34+ cells population and cell viability.
Performs maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of equipment.
Tests, documents, and reports results for products and associated materials following GTP guidelines.
Participating in managing all laboratory materials and supplies.
Performing and assisting in equipment and method qualification/validation activities as needed.
Reporting any non-conformances observed during processing to an immediate supervisor or Laboratory Manager.
Investigating Out-of-Specification and/or non-conforming test results.
Initiating, investigating, and preparing deviation reports with input.
Initiating and implementing corrective and preventive actions, as and when applicable.
Initiating Change Control request.
Preparing and documenting the shipping of test samples to contract laboratories for testing.
Reviewing files and test results for accuracy and completeness.
Reviewing data entry, scanning and archiving laboratory records.
Participating in weekend and holidays rotations when necessary.
Performing all other duties, at the discretion of management, as assigned.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Qualifications and requirements
Full COVID-19 vaccination/booster required
Bachelor’s Degree, BA or BS in science or in relevant field, such as Medical Technology preferred
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a clinical analytical laboratory and/or cord blood laboratory preferred
Medical laboratory technologist license with DHA/DHCC required
Previous laboratory experience required
Must possess the skills and abilities to successfully perform all assigned duties and responsibilities
Must be able to maintain confidentiality
Working using aseptic methods
Be able to calibrate instruments and follow laboratory procedures described in SOP’s
Effectively work independently and in a team environment
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Proficient with Computer software such as Microsoft Office.
Must be able to work on weekends
