ROLE SUMMARY

With an exciting portfolio ahead, we are looking for a Medical Manager to join our growing team within Viruses, Vaccines & Infectious Disease Therapy Area. This role offers you the unique possibility to be responsible for all medical activities related to the Vaccines & Immune Therapies portfolio in KSA.
You will play a pivotal role in leading the delivery of clinical insight, customer focus and providing proactive medical affairs input to the Vaccines cross functional teams with strong focus on strengthening the clinical, payer value proposition and public heath impact of AstraZeneca medicines. A core element of this role is to develop and identify opportunities for scientific partnership, collaboration and co-creation with key healthcare ecosystem stakeholders ensuring enduring professional relationships with Health Care Professional (HCPs) and decision makers.
You will provide scientific information and expertise in assigned product and/or disease area and conduct presentations in a non-promotional context, engage in scientific collaborations, lead projects and activities, and support clinical studies and potential HCP initiated clinical research.
You will be a core partner for internal multidisciplinary teams as scientific specialist in Vaccines & Immune Therapies and you will be reporting to the GCC Medical Team Lead.

What you’ll do
Develop and maintain scientific relationships with key customers to build customer insight and develop strategic partnerships.
Develop and leverage medical insight from internal and external customers to aid into Medical, Brand and Account Plans.
Facilitate medical/scientific exchange activities to increase comprehension of clinical data.
Contribute to developing study concepts, identify new opportunities and evidence gaps, and work closely with investigators to generate data to inform clinical practice.
Support scientific programs that explore unmet medical needs and patient support.
Ensuring high quality medical input to the work of the cross-functional team by providing medical insight on product strategies, cross-functional plans and key deliverables including reimbursement dossiers and regulatory documents.
Assure quality and outputs are in accordance with written procedures and current legal requirements and internal standards.
Essential for the role
A Master´s or Doctoral degree in medicine, pharmacy, or other relevant Life Science (required)
Experience working within the field of infectious diseases, vaccines or immunology or biotechnology. A few years’ experience from a medical affairs role is preferred
Proven expertise in understanding, assimilating, and communicating scientific content
Entrepreneurial and collaborative approach to engaging with external partners as well as cross-functional colleagues
Ability to travel, driver’s license and required
