MARKETING AND SALES MANAGER REQUIRED IN DUBAI

Reports to: General Manager BFEC
Manages:
Directly supervises Sales and Events staff and coordinates the use of central or temporary hired resources for Web Master / Social Media and Graphic Design.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Position Summary:
The M&SM;is responsible to develop and foster business through pro-active direct sales, marketing, telemarketing, direct mail, appointment calls and tours of the BFEC. Also develops tactical action-plans to drive measurable, incremental sales revenue.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Leads on-property sales functions to build long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of BFEC sales objectives.
• Maintain and expand corporate incentive program via direct mail, personal visits etc.
• Evaluates and drives the BFEC’s participation in the various sales channels, market sales, event booking centers, electronic lead channels, etc.
• Develops strong relationships with on-property Sales and Marketing team(s) to ensure working in unity and always striving to achieve the same goals.
• Develops relationships within local business and target audience relevant communities to strengthen and expand customer base for sales opportunities.
• Driving the in-store, localized and online tactical promotional activities, road shows and local events, driving visitor traffic and retention. Run an annual calendar of local relevant activities. leveraging a combination of topical, seasonal, locally relevant, holiday or festivity driven and naturally occurring activities and events.
• Event management, planning and organization:
• Plan event from start to finish according to requirements, target audience and objectives
• Come up with suggestions to enhance the event’s success
• Prepare budgets and ensure adherence
• Source and negotiate with vendors and suppliers
• Be in charge of hiring and supervising all staff (DJs, waiters, caterers etc.)
• Coordinate all operations
• Lead promotional activities for the event
• Approve all aspects before the day of the event
• Ensure event is completed smoothly and step up to resolve any problems that might occur
• Analyze the event’s success and prepare reports
• Develop and send informative press releases to targeted lists highlighting all activities and promotions.
• Facilitates the flow of information throughout the venue, by organizing and presiding over regularly Sales and Marketing briefs and meetings
• Recruits, selects and hires the best staff. Monitors performance and manages all (temporary) Marketing & Sales staff pro-actively, drives a positive staff attitude and appearance, fosters energetic teamwork/relations with co-workers and management, sets-up and drives training programs, implements and actively promotes a customer focused meritocracy system.

Skillset Qualifications:
• A natural B2C marketer, but the more practical and less highbrow version
• Ability to understand current market trends and buying psychology, tailored to our audience (predominantly families with 6 to 12 years’ old)
• Given the nature of a BFEC, must be extremely hands-on and practical. Yet, combining that with a very creative, imaginative and resourceful mind- and skillset.
• Budgetary management experience
• Polished personal presentation with confident and hospitable personality.
• High degree of commercial awareness and be able to understand links between sales and profit with excellent sales and negotiation skills. Good business sense and the ability to motivate and lead a team.
• To be able to demonstrate understanding of sales and promote importance of events and promotions within the BFEC
• To be able to demonstrate a clear and proactive understanding of the business and be able to plan and implement short term objectives
• Positive, energetic and collaborative
• Taking responsibility for getting things done, and taking pride in doing them well.
• Tons of energy and a great team spirit are a must.

Education and certifications:
• 3-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or MBA.
• Knowledge of laws (federal, state, health and safety, etc.) and attendant regulations as well as the Company’s policies and procedures.
• Working knowledge and experience in Hotel or Restaurant management software and Point of sale software.
• Must have a complete knowledge of Fire Procedures

Experience
• 5 to 6 years’ experience in the sales and marketing or related professional area. And a minimum of three year in a senior sales role in a similar setting.
• A minimum of 3 years hands-on Event, Campaigning and Promotions’ experience. Proven success in a similar role and environment.
• Experience with needs-assessment and market research techniques, quality standards and satisfaction evaluation techniques

Language and Communication Skills: English
• Ability to train, manage and motivate staff
• Ability to represent and promote the BFEC while addressing larger groups of people or press
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies

Working hours:
38 Hours a week
Unsocial hours are a necessity due to the nature of the entertainment industry

Note: Filipino Nationality preferred
