JOB BRIEF:
A professional Line Cook to prepare food to the exact chef’s specifications and to set up stations for menu. Line Cook duties will consist of assisting the executive and sous chef with their daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals.
We are looking for an experienced line cook to join our talented team and help prepare meals according to our standard recipes. In this position, your principal goal will be to prepare high-quality meals that meet the chef’s exact specifications.
You will be responsible for setting up the prep station, stocking inventory, and maintaining sanitation standards. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and multi-tasking skills. Ultimately, you will play an essential role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and restaurant growth.

Ability to run stocktaking and place orders for resupply.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Preparing food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces).
Cooking menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
Setting up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies.
Answer, report to and follow executive or chef’s instructions.
Clean up station and take care of leftover food.
Stock inventory appropriately.
Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
Pre-cook items like hotdog, … etc to prepare them for future.
Ensure prepared food meets quality and quantity requirements.
Clean, cut and prepare foods for cooking.
Cook food of consistent quality with recipe cards and production and portion standards..
Store, maintain and prepare the ingredients' raw material in a safe manner to minimize wastages.
QUALIFICATIONS
Proven cooking experience, including experience as a Line Chef, Restaurant Cook or Prep Cook.
Familiar with industry’s best practices.
Culinary school diploma graduate is preferred.
Non smoker is preferred.
Medically fit.
High School Diploma as a minimum education level.
