Key Responsibilities:
Transportation:
Drive light vehicles to transport goods, materials, or passengers to designated locations in a safe and timely manner.
Ensure all deliveries and pickups are completed as scheduled.
Follow designated routes and schedules, adjusting as necessary for traffic and weather conditions.
Vehicle Maintenance:
Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance tasks such as checking oil, fuel, tires, and lights.
Ensure the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and in good operating condition.
Report any mechanical issues or damage to the vehicle to the supervisor promptly.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.
Ensure the safety of passengers and goods during transportation.
Use seat belts, secure cargo, and follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and other relevant data.
Complete delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures from recipients.
Keep a logbook of daily activities, including routes taken and any incidents encountered.
Customer Service:
Provide excellent customer service by being polite, professional, and helpful.
Assist passengers with loading and unloading luggage or packages.
Address any customer inquiries or concerns in a courteous manner.
Route Planning:
Plan routes and schedule based on delivery or pickup requirements.
Use navigation tools and maps to find the best routes.
Stay informed about road closures, traffic conditions, and other factors that may affect travel time.
Qualifications and Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid UAE light vehicle driving license.
Proven experience as a light vehicle driver.
Clean driving record with no traffic violations.
Good knowledge of Dubai roads and traffic regulations.
Strong navigational skills and familiarity with GPS devices.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Basic mechanical knowledge for vehicle maintenance.
Additional Requirements:
Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is an advantage.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Professional appearance and grooming standards.
Ability to lift and carry heavy packages if required.
