Junior Accountant Required in Dubai - Dubai
About the Role: The Shared Service Center is responsible for handling day-to-day transactions, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll management, management of financial reports and many other services for IFZA customers. As an Jr Accountant for the Shared Service Centre (SSC), the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting of IFZA customers, coordinating with a team of professionals, whilst complying with the organization’s policies and procedures and ensuring the necessary checks and balances are performed, in order to deliver an effective and efficient end to end service for customers.
Responsibilities:
Process financial transactions and maintain accurate accounting records
Reconcile invoices, statements, and investigate discrepancies
Post journal entries following double-entry bookkeeping principles
Prepare aging reports and manage customer relationships
Implement procedure documentation for internal controls
Act as a point of contact for accounting inquiries
Identify operational issues and drive continuous improvement
Oversee monthly financial statement preparation for customers
Provide regular progress updates to the team lead
Support ad-hoc tasks aligned with business objectives
Qualifications:
Degree in Accounting or Finance
Part/Fully qualified professional accounting certification preferred
Minimum 2-4 years of accounting experience
Strong knowledge of IFRS principles
Excellent English communication skills (additional languages a plus)
Proficient in accounting fundamentals and ERP systems
Expertise in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint)
Keen analytical and problem-solving abilities
Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines
Understanding of business models and KPIs
